In Lebanon, more than two million refugees live across 12 official camps, making it one of the highest refugee-hosting countries per capita in the world. KinderUSA provides direct support throughout Lebanon.
Most refugees lack legal documentation, which severely restricts employment opportunities and contributes to widespread poverty. Families often fall into debt, and many children begin working as early as age 14 to support their families. Overcrowded conditions, poor infrastructure, and heavy reliance on aid further compound daily struggles.
For Palestinians in particular, displacement has spanned generations; many are now third, fourth, or even later-generation refugees who continue to live in precarious circumstances.
We envision a free, just and peaceful Palestine where children thrive and look forward to a productive future, like children everywhere.
