Reality on the Ground: Egypt

Egypt has long served as a place of refuge for Palestinians during periods of conflict and displacement. However, since the genocide began, there has been a significant surge in Palestinians seeking safety in Egypt. With tens of thousands of families, many with young children, crossing into the country after losing homes, livelihoods, and access to education.

While Egypt offers relative safety, displacement presents ongoing challenges. Many families face limited access to consistent schooling, stable living conditions, and psychosocial support as children cope with the emotional effects of conflict and relocation.

Community organizations and humanitarian partners play a vital role in helping displaced Palestinian families rebuild stability, dignity, and hope for the future.
